The Drowsy Chaperone catapults you into a deliriously over-the-top 1920s musical--summoned straight from the imagination of a musical-theatre superfan who just wants to listen to his favorite cast album in peace. Naturally, nothing goes as planned. There are glamorously unhelpful showgirls, an under-rehearsed groom, a bride who can't stop doing splits, and a chaperone who is far more committed to cocktails than to chaperoning.
